On 18 February 2020, Lina Konstantinopoulou, EuroRAP Secretary-General, will present on Safe Infrastructure at the “Through Vision Zero in Cities to Zero Victims Everywhere” seminar.
The latter is a side event organised by the European Federation of Road Traffic Victims (FEVR) and partners to complement and support the third Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety to be held on 19 and 20 February 2020. Both events will take place in Stockholm, Sweden.
The “VISION ZERO In Cities” programme is a concrete response to the challenge of better safety for vulnerable road users, a goal of reducing the number of road crash victims towards Zero by 2030, in built up areas, starting in the EU and spreading to the world. Road Victims can never accept a target where we will still have 50% of deaths and serious injuries. Vision Zero should be the only target that all stakeholders should try to reach by working together, from streets in cities to the whole road network.
