Bosnia & Herzegovina

In 2006, The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the National Law on Road Safety treating all road safety aspects which has been applicable within the whole territory of the country. In the period that followed 2007 – 2011, the set of accompanying rules and internal regulations were introduced to enable the enforcement of this law.

Due to the harmonisation with road safety standards of existing EU countries, the Government of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Government of Republic of Srpska and related authorities invested special efforts in raising the level of road traffic safety in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
