The “Star Rating” of
roads for safety has
now arrived in the UK.

Some 7,000km of national and local authority main roads have been inspected with some unexpected, and in a number of cases, startling, results.

The EuroRAP International Conference 2007

The EuroRAP movement continues to grow quickly throughout Europe. In the UK, EuroRAP's annual Risk Mapping and tracking of the safety performance of the main road network is well established, well understood - and widely reported in national, regional and technical media.

But EuroRAP also assesses how well roads protect users in the event of a crash just as EuroNCAP star rates new cars. "Star Rating Roads for Safety" has now arrived in the UK. Some 7,000km of national and local authority main roads have been inspected with some unexpected, and in a number of cases, startling, results.

The UK's first star rating results will be revealed at the conference. It will be the first opportunity in the UK for professionals responsible for making roads safe to hear directly what star rating has to offer.

The conference will also learn of EuroRAP results across Europe - and the new techniques making it possible for countries to upgrade the safety performance of whole networks systematically with high returns.

Attendance will be by invitation only. If you, or a senior representative, would like an invitation please contact ellie.cowburn@eurorap.net Thanks to sponsorship from the IAM Motoring Trust, there is no delegate fee.
